Urban small cell network architectures

This document, significantly revised for Release Four, focuses on the architectures for supporting 3G and LTE small cells within an urban environment. Particular attention is placed on enabling integration of the urban small cells within the existing macro-cellular network, including architectural aspects of re-using the macro RAN transport system for supporting small cell backhaul. Architectural aspects related to co-ordination and optimization of the heterogeneous network are introduced.
